For 26 years ‘Steve Shannon’ has been a household name in our community. There’s comfort in the familiarity of his distinct voice, which has helped so many of us through our morning routines each week. He hasn't always lived in the Rockford region though, he moved here for a career opportunity in radio after discovering his own passion for music.
He believes music is a place to heal and there's no question he has been a catalyst bringing joy and a sense of community through just that - music - with a whole lot of laughter and influential advice along the way. He is a local icon who has truly dedicated his own life to serving his hometown.
No matter what we may be going through we can always count on that powerful reminder in Steve's signature phrase,
“One nation. One people.”
