What would you do if you're not able to play with your band anymore? Most of us would feel defeated, that the march of time has caused us to to not be able to perform — the thing we love to do. Not Armando. He takes this in stride and instead turns around to help others be able to perform. This is just one aspect of this fantastic man. This speaks to his character, and it was an honor to tell one story about this man who does so much for the community at large.
"¡El pueblo unido, jamás será vencido!" is a quote that inspires Armando Cardenas. It means "The people united will never be defeated." Armando takes this to heart when it comes to his passion for sharing his culture. If we all understood each other and cared for each other, there's nothing we couldn't do.
