Welcome.

Write your letter.

Last minute submissions must be in by early February 27th.

An evening in support of my first feature length documentary.

Forty word letters on the wall,

music by two dear friends, and a preview.

Some things don’t need a whole story.

They need forty words.

These letters are things people never said out loud.

Exactly forty words.
Addressed to a role.
Written around one of five themes.

At the event, the walls will be filled with the letters written by dozens of people in our city. Words to parents. To former lovers. To people gone. To people still here.

Because they’re anonymous, something interesting happens. You may read one and feel like it was written for you. Or by you. These letters reveal how much we carry that never gets said. And how connected we actually are.

The film this fundraiser is supporting begins here in Rockford and travels to Białystok, Poland. It follows a Holocaust-era painting discovered locally and returned to the place it was painted during the war. I’ll share how I'm planning to make it all come together on the night. Brace yourself.

Your presence makes you part of the story.

Music by Gavin Epperson and Clark Kelly. Cash bar.
